Your Opportunity
Stantec is currently seeking an EIT Level Instrumentation and Controls Engineer for our Tampa FL office location. Successful applicants will work with a multidiscipline group of engineers and designers providing technical services to public and private sector clients.
Your Key Responsibilities
Primary duties, as applicable to water and wastewater treatment facilities and pumping stations, will include:

• 
  
• 
  Supporting control systems engineering and automation designs
  
  
• 
  Producing construction drawings, schedules and datasheets using computer-aided engineering production tools including:
  
  • 
    
  • Database driven Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&ID's)
    
  • Detailed network communication architecture diagrams
    
  • Control panel details
    
  • CCTV and Access Control System drawings
    
  • Point-to-Point Wiring Diagrams
    
  • Instrument installation details
    
    
    
  • 
    Assist in the development of technical specifications
    
    
  • 
    Assist in the review of contractor submittals
    
    
  • 
    Supporting engineering services during construction
    
    
  • 
    Active participation in field data-gathering and equipment assessment assignments
    
    
  • 
    Working in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.
    
    
    Duties will be generally performed under the guidance of a senior level or higher I&C engineer.
    Qualifications
    Your Capabilities and Credentials
    The successful applicant will meet or exceed the following qualifications:
    
    • 
      
    • 
      Advanced knowledge of standard desktop software is required, including Microsoft Word and Excel
      
      
    • 
      Familiar with Adobe and/or Bluebeam editing PDF tools
      
      
    • 
      CAD experience - AutoCAD or Bentley MicroStation preferred. Programming experience with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and SCADA software is desirable
      
      
    • 
      Strong interest in process control, logic, control strategy design, process instrumentation and control system engineering principles as well as practical water/wastewater plant operation knowledge
      
      
    • 
      Intermediate Ethernet network architecture and design skills; cybersecurity interest and/or knowledge a plus
      
      
    • 
      Control systems integration, commissioning, and/or startup experience very helpful
      
      
      Typical office environment, working with computers and drawings for long periods of time. Field work may include exposure to hazards including construction, weather, and industrial operations that may be experienced at water and/or wastewater related facilities.
