Job description SUMMARY: We are seeking a safe highly motivated and skilled Driver to operates a Grapple truck in the collection of vegetation debris or recyclable material that requires a CDL class "B" FL Driver's License for our local landscaping company. Must be skilled in use of sophisticated equipment and used as a utility crew man. This position does offer on the job training. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITES: Drives truck of description on designated route to pick up and load recyclable material into truck. Operates grapple in loading and unloading of all types of debris. Performs pre & post trips inspection and, inclusive to greasing & cleaning of equipment daily. Uses rakes, shovels, litter picker, bucket, blower, and other hand tools as needed. Performs related work as required. SUPERVISORY RESPONBILITIES: Acts as a crew leader when required. QUALIFICATIONS: Class B CDL. Knowledge of practices, methods, and equipment used in the collection and maintenance of trucks and equipment. Knowledge of the effective operation of heavy equipment such as grapple truck, front loader or willingness to learn in an acceptable time frame. Knowledge of traffic and highway safety rules and regulations and of effective precautionary measures necessary to avoid accidents. Knowledge of the hazards involved in the use of heavy equipment of the safety precautions to be taken. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Minimum of 2 years' experience in the operation of equipment as listed and or take part in training provided by employer. Tree care experience a plus. CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES: Valid current CDL Class B Florida driver's license with clean driving record.
