Job Description We are looking for a dynamic individual to join our team of Technology Architects at JM Family Enterprises to fill a need within End User Engineering architecture. The Technology Architect will play a critical role in defining the next generation end user architecture including Microsoft 365 services, endpoint solutions, SaaS solutions, and user enablement. The candidate filling this role is expected to take the lead in gaining technical understanding of technologies and in particular gain working technical knowledge in enabling end user capabilities through mobile and end point devices. This role will be working hands on to develop proof-of-concepts (POC) to identify viable options for implementing technology capability needs. This role will also define technology use standards and pass on the learning to solution architects through knowledge sharing and mentoring. Candidate should be highly organized and analytic, capable of solving business problems through the appropriate use of technology. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for defining the application reference architectures that turn business and technology strategic needs into actionable solutions for teams to execute on
  • Set future state direction for application development technologies by continuously staying abreast of the technology marketplace
  • Set design standards, guidelines, and patterns for use by Solution Architects
  • Lead engineering teams in the product selection and POC process
  • Assesses Technology Portfolio for lifecycle impacts, consolidations and optimization opportunities that best align with business needs
  • Develops technology roadmaps and defines future state capabilities
  • Understand the implications of software design and implementation choices on performance and maintainability
  • Is an evangelist of technology across the organization
  • Defines risk mitigation strategy of technology introduction
  • Mentors the engineering team and provides thought leadership to the various initiatives that take place KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES AND COMPETENCIES:
    • Strategic and forward-thinking technology leader with deep expertise in technology strategy
    • Able to elicit technical requirements with limited information or guidance to architect solutions that meet both business and enterprise needs. Identifies deficiencies in technology solutions and works with appropriate technical teams to resolve
    • Can break complex and large technical solutions into manageable activities and prioritize. Nature of the work is such that is performed on own responsibility
    • Ability to communicate with both business and technical resources, particularly the skill of expressing complex issues with clarity & simplicity

      • 10+ more years of Information Technology experience
      • 5+ years of experience developing architectures that solve both complex application and infrastructure problems to efficiently deploy enterprise services
      • 3+ more years of experience working as a Solutions Architect, preferably in End User Computing/Enablement
      • 3+ years of experience solutioning and facilitating M365 and Azure based services
      • Advanced scripting skills including Powershell
      • Experience with Graph API, data gathering, analysis, and reporting
      • Passion for continuous improvement and advancing technology solutions
      • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment Preferred Qualifications:
