Job Description Job Description Supervisor – Central Sterilization Job Summary We are seeking an experienced Central Sterilization Supervisor to lead and oversee daily sterile processing operations in an acute care setting. This role is responsible for directing, planning, organizing, and evaluating staff and departmental activities to ensure compliance with healthcare regulatory standards. The Supervisor will coordinate surgical instrument reprocessing, maintain quality and safety standards, and support efficient surgical and procedural services. Key Responsibilities Supervise and coordinate daily sterile processing and instrument reprocessing operations Ensure compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards including infection control and safety protocols Oversee staff performance, scheduling, training, and workflow efficiency Maintain quality assurance and proper documentation of sterilization processes Coordinate preparation, cleaning, sterilization, and distribution of surgical instruments and trays Collaborate with surgical teams and clinical departments to support procedural readiness Monitor equipment functionality and ensure adherence to departmental policies and procedures Qualifications & Requirements Minimum 2 years of sterile processing experience Minimum 1 year of supervisory or management experience Certified Sterile Processing Technician (CSPT) certification required Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required (or must be obtained within specified timeframe) Vocational or technical training in sterile processing or related field required Strong knowledge of infection prevention standards and sterilization procedures Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment Company Description LanceSoft is rated as one of the largest staffing firms in the US by SIA.
