Job Description:
Under the direction of HR Director, the HR Generalist is
responsible for recruitment, and sourcing top talent to fill open
positions timely and effectively. The HR Generalist role also
provides administrative support for the human resource
department.
Recruitment:
Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment
process.
- Communicates with department heads to help determine staffing
needs and develops plans for meeting those needs.
- Partners with schools to promote internships, and job postings,
job fairs, etc.
- Assists with job posting and advertisement processes.
- Performs sourcing of candidates, posting positions in various
employment sites and educational institutions.
- Screens incoming resumes.
- Conducts initial phone screen and schedules interviews for
hiring manager
- Maintains applicant tracking system in ADP
- Sources and attracts candidates by using databases, social
media, job boards, and web-based recruiting platforms.
- Conducts and schedules interviews, and filters candidates for
open positions. Presents top candidates to department
directors.
- Provides weekly recruiting reports
- Networks and builds contacts to source candidates in the
future
- Promotes FHE's reputation as "Top Workplaces" On boarding
Assists new employees through the hiring and onboarding process
- Performs all due diligence background checks and obtains
required documents from candidates prior to start.
- Schedules drug test
- Enters employee information in ADP
- Helps new hires register in ADP and Time Clock
- Takes photo, enters information in badge system and issues ID
Badge
- Scans new hire paperwork in ADP
- Emails pictures of new hires to all staff Off boarding
- Changes employment status in ADP
- Notifies CFO of first week held check to be paid out
- Goes into system and terminates coverage Lincoln and elected
insurance benefits Open Enrollment
- Assists in the open enrollment process and processing of
deductions. Unemployment Claims
- Electronically process unemployment claims and audits Keeps
track and notifies managers of performance appraisals that are due
and follows up to ensure they are received.
Performance Management
- Keeps track and notifies supervisors when 90-day and annual
reviews are due. Follows-up to ensure they are received.
- Assists with the preparation of the performance review process
Payroll
- Enters payroll corrections in ADP, and ensures Payroll
Correction form is completed.
- Reviews individual time records for missed punches.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in HR Management preferred.
PHR or SHRM certification preferred but not required.
Experience as Recruiter, HR Coordinator or Generalist in healthcare
or addiction/behavioral setting preferred.
Knowledge of HR processes and best practices required
Knowledge of Workers' Compensation, FMLA, ADA, benefits
Knowledge of CARF, DCF and Joint Commission Standards,
preferred
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills required.
Familiarity with social media and/or internet recruiting
required.
Must be proficient in MS Office.
Must be detailed oriented.
Good organizational and time management skills required.
