Registered Nurse (RN) | Neonatal Intensive Care Unit Location: West Palm Beach, FL Agency: Cynet Health Pay: $2,426 per week Shift Information: Nights - 3 days x 12 hours Contract Duration: 8 Weeks Start Date: ASAP About the Position TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified NICU RN in West Palm Beach, Florida, 33414! Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: NICU Duration: 8 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Hours Experience: Minimum 3 Years of NICU Experience Required License: Current license to practice as a Registered Nurse in state/district Required Certifications: STABLE, NRP, BLS Required Must-Have: Must live 100 miles away Level 3-4 NICU experience Ability to work with vents, oscillators, pressors, and micro preemies Description: The Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) provides care for neonates primarily admitted from labor and delivery. The NICU patient population ranges from as early as 23 weeks gestation to 4 months. NICU staff respond to neonatal emergencies, providing assessment and immediate care to newborns post-delivery needing closer observation. Staff attend all C-sections and high-risk deliveries. Conditions treated in the unit may include extreme prematurity, respiratory distress syndrome, sepsis, hypoglycemia, congenital anomalies, seizures, and meconium aspiration syndrome. Services provided include noninvasive nasal CPAP, mechanical ventilation (including High Frequency Oscillation), and nitric oxide inhalation therapy. Nurses assist in performing bedside procedures, including peripheral IV insertion, septic workups, intubations, percutaneous catheter insertions, and parenteral therapy. They also manage blood and blood product administration, bronchopulmonary hygiene, medication administration, monitoring of vital signs, and parent teaching.
