Responsibilities: Deliver comprehensive nursing care to patients
undergoing cardiovascular surgical procedures including CABG, MVR,
AVR, pacemaker implantation, laser lead extractions, and selected
thoracic and endovascular cases. Maintain strict adherence to
sterile techniques and ensure all necessary equipment and
medications are prepared and available. Utilize Meditech
documentation for accurate recording of surgical progress and
patient outcomes. Provide on-call support approximately every other
day and weekend as required, including the ability to give lunch
relief across multiple surgical service lines. Participate in
quality control activities and ensure patient safety throughout
surgical procedures. Qualifications and Experience: Current RN
licensure with at least 2 years of experience in an acute
cardiovascular OR setting. Certified in ACLS and BLS. Skilled in
minimally invasive cardiac procedures preferred. Ability to
function autonomously in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Shift Details: Ground floor unit with two open heart surgical
suites. Typical staffing: 2 RNs and 2 Techs on day shift; night
shift is on-call. Patient to nurse ratio approximately 2:1.
