Curriculum Manager
The Curriculum Manager is responsible for researching, supporting
the writing of, and developing the TLE proprietary Early Childhood
Curriculum.
The Manager will have "brand" ownership for their specified age
groups and provide leadership, coaching, and mentoring to their
direct reports and colleagues. They will work closely with the
global curriculum team to systematically review and evolve all
proprietary curriculum materials and support the innovation and
high-quality practices in the Early Childhood Sector, making the
TLE brand continue to take a leading role globally.
Responsibilities:
- Support in writing content for specific ages/classrooms based
on Early Childhood best practices
- Systematically review curriculum development processes to meet
cross-departmental and print production deadlines
- Collaborate across departments to ensure all curriculum
components are printed and digitally sent to the appropriate TLE
print production team
- Regularly review all curriculum materials and integrate
developmentally appropriate materials that support TLE Centers'
differing needs
- Support franchised and corporate centers to successfully
implement TLE curriculum materials and classroom management
strategies
- Collaborate with the Learning and Development team to develop
and support teacher training based on identified needs for specific
ages/classrooms
- Conduct continuous reviews of FF&E curriculum resources to
ensure developmentally appropriate and high-quality early years
pedagogical practices are implemented
- Partner with the Curriculum Leadership Team, Associate Vice
President of Curriculum, and Academic Services Manager to devise
processes and strategies to effectively communicate curriculum
initiatives to franchisees and center leaders
- Evaluate the use of technologies in the classroom for specific
ages, assisting with identifying areas of strength and
development
- Research high-quality Early Childhood Educational practices
globally to aid with reflecting and identifying any opportunities
to evolve current practices
- Collaborate with academic services and use data from TLE's
chosen assessment provider to identify opportunities for
improvement in classrooms
- Build effective relationships with the NCO team, supporting the
immersion/training for new teachers to understand and execute
curriculum and classroom management components
- Lead an onboarding program with relevant TLE departments to
effectively induct Curriculum Specialists
- Conduct regular meetings with direct reports to coach and
develop their skills
- Collaborate with the Field Leadership team to identify
opportunities for development and determine support needed to
ensure consistent, high-quality ECE practices
- Work collaboratively as part of the global TLE Curriculum and
Brand Team, identifying and utilizing Early Educational best
practices
- Devise an ongoing visit schedule to TLE centers, supporting
identifying areas of strength and opportunity for the evolution of
all proprietary Curriculum Components
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education or a related
field
- Teaching experience with children ages birth through
kindergarten
- Sound understanding of early child development and early years
pedagogy
- Experience in developing and writing early childhood
curricula
- Previous Leadership experience
- Demonstrated knowledge of state Early Learning
Standards
- Demonstrated knowledge of ITERS, ECERS, SACERS, or similar is
preferred
- Strong project management and organizational skills
- Exceptional interpersonal and verbal communication skills
