Family Church is a growing network of neighborhood churches and classical Christian schools in South Florida. Come join our growing team! This is a full-time position, reports to the Campus Director. Responsibilities Structure a developmentally appropriate educational experience in the classroom using methods such as storytelling, games, and activities. Teach students to follow rules and procedures in the classroom and school. Monitor students’ progress throughout the year and evaluate preparedness for the next education level. Communicate all progress and concerns with tact and professionalism to parents and the director. Build and maintain positive relationships with parents. Enforce safety and security standards for children, staff, and visitors. Maintain required paperwork for individual student files, attendance, incident reports, and other necessary records. Successful completion of in-service Childcare Training Credential hours will be required by the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF) trainings. Qualifications Must be a credentialed VPK Teacher. Experience leading a classroom and creating educational lesson plans. Knowledge of Florida Early Learning Standards and the ability to implement it. Certified or working toward certification in one of the following: Child Development Associate (CDA) credential, Early Childhood Professional Certificate (ECPC), Florida Child Care Professional Credential (FCCPC), or Florida Child Care Staff Credential Verification. High School diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years of age or older. Must pass drug test and DCF Clearinghouse background check. Requirement This position requires a level 2 background check through the Clearinghouse. https://info.flclearinghouse.com Physical Requirements Prolonged periods of standing and walking throughout the classroom. Must be able to lift up to 45 pounds at a time. Must be able to sit and stand on the floor throughout the day, and bend, kneel, or squat to be at eye level with children.
