Volt is an executive recruiting firm that specializes in placing accounting and finance professionals with top notch companies. We have partnered with a premier company in the Broward county area that has an immediate need for a Senior Accountant. This Senior Accountant will be responsible for developing and maintaining accounting principles, practices and procedures to ensure accurate and timely preparation of financial statements for this large, well-established, retail based corporation. HYBRID Work From Home Schedule What you'll be doing:

• Responsible for accounting activities including general ledger maintenance and reconciliations, financial reporting, audit and duties as assigned.
• Timely and accurate preparation of monthly financial statements for Corporate and operating units
• Ensure that all general ledger accounts are reconciled to subsidiary records on a monthly basis
• Perform account analyses and reconciliations
• Respond to inquiries from Field and Corporate management regarding financial results and special reporting requests.
• Collect and provide information for audit inquiries and provide assistance with coordination and completion of annual audits
• Support continuous process improvements within accounting operations.
• Compare and analyze significant monthly variances on P&L and balance sheet accounts
• Perform other duties or special projects as assigned What you'll need:
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or related field
  • 3-5+ years of accounting experience
  • Strong technical accounting skills with proven analytical skills
  • Strong understanding and application of Generally Accepted Accounting Policies (GAAP) and Generally Accepted Auditing Standards (GAAS)
  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel (advanced), PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • High standards for work quality, attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize projects
