Candidate Profile
The Benefits Administrator will contribute to the evolution of benefits, wellness and perks programs and is responsible for the day-to-day administration of our corporate benefits plans at one of the fastest growing companies in the US. reCommerce has been named to the Inc 500's fastest growing list 3 years in a row, ranking as high as #64 in the country. This role requires an individual with the unique ability to attend to details, dig in and get things done.

Reporting Relationship
The Benefits Administrator reports to the CFO and will be based at the Company's office in Deerfield Beach, FL once it is safe to return to the office. Currently, the reCommerce team is working remotely.

Key Responsibilities
Be an expert in the design, implementation and measurement of benefits, wellness and perks programs and policies
Ensure compliance with applicable government regulations. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of required reporting and fees.
Coordinate daily benefits processing. Handle enrollments, 401k contributions, COBRA, terminations, other requests including unemployment, changes, beneficiaries, disability, accident and death claims, rollovers, distributions, loans, hardships and compliance testing.
Oversee maintenance of employee benefits files, maintain group benefits database and update employee payroll records.
Assist plan audits. Prepare, collect and organize data for actuarial assessments. Review data in conjunction with actuarial evaluation task forces.
Monitor administrative costs of benefits programs and recommend cost containment strategies, including alternative methods for administration and funding.
Design and distribute materials for benefits orientations, open enrollment and summary plan descriptions. Provide training, Q&A, and support to group benefits associates.
Serve as primary contact for plan vendors and third-party administrators (TPA) and work with carrier representatives to provide timely solutions to employee benefit problems and issues
Stay up-to-date on benefit packages being offered by comparable companies and provide recommendations for appropriate changes
Lead the implementation and promotion of new benefits and benefit related programs
Coordinate PTO with employees, managers, Finance, and third parties
Coordinate with Finance department to ensure benefits are coordinated with payroll
Assist with potential future migration to new vendors and/or systems
Coordinate transfer of data to external contacts for services, premiums and plan administration.
Document and maintain administrative procedures and reporting for assigned benefits processes.

Experience
4+ years' experience in benefits administration or consulting, with knowledge of core benefits terminology and best practices
General familiarity and practical understanding of health benefit plans (including HSA/FSA plans) and associated federal and local rules and regulations around these plans such as: ADA, ACA, and ongoing changes, COBRA, FMLA, and Medicare.
Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience required
Familiarity and practical knowledge of retirement benefits: 401k plan administration including general understanding of rules and regulations around administration of Safe Harbor plans, knowledge of ERISA, and annual filings such as the 5500.
Current knowledge of federal and state employee benefit regulations maintained either through formal education or self-initiated study
Knowledge of Section 125 qualified benefits plans, such as tuition reimbursement.
Demonstrated experience presenting benefits information to groups of employees as well as responding to individual employee inquiries
Excellent organizational and planning skills; ability to multitask
Proactive and strong problem-solving skills
SHRM-SCP or SHRM-CP designations a plus
